Dr. Bhandarker is a psychologist by training, a management professor, a coach and counselor by passion, and a strong voice for diversity at the workplace. She is well-known in the field of Leadership and HR as a scholar, consultant, and researcher. Prior to her current assignment at IMI-Delhi, she was the Raman Munjal Chair Professor of Leadership Studies as well as Dean Research and Consulting at MDI-Gurgaon.
She has been Independent Director on the board of Punjab National Bank 2018-2021 and is currently on the Board of IMT Ghaziabad. She has worked on many board level HR committees of banks, some of them being Bank of Baroda, Corporation Bank, Oriental Bank of commerce, Punjab National Bank, Dena Bank.
She has worked closely with the corporate sector for decades -Public Sector, Cooperative Sector as well as the Private sector- conducting Board levels and Top management workshops for numerous organizations on issues of Culture Building, Leadership Development and Organizational Vision Building.
She has received accolades and awards for her work including the Senior Fulbright Fellowship for research, Leadership Thinker Award, Best Teacher award, Woman of Excellence Award etc.
She has published 9 books and 40+ research papers and cases in peer reviewed national and international journals and edited books. Many of her publications have been co-authored with Padmashree Dr Pritam Singh.
In her role as Professor, Asha has been teaching Organizational behaviour, Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring for decades. She has helped numerous people in Self Understanding and Self-Transformation.
She is widely travelled across US, Europe and Asia and has rich experience of Teaching and Consulting in India and abroad in places like Afghanistan, Egypt, France, Mauritius, Sri Lanka and USA.
